National Aids Control Council (NACC)
The corporate mission of the National Aids Control Council of Kenya (NACC) is to reduce the spread of HIV, improve the quality of those infected and affected and mitigate the social-economic impact of the epidemic. Its vision is
to reduce the number of HIV infection in both vulnerable groups and the general population,
to improve the treatment and care, protection of rights and access to effective services for infected and affected people
to adapt existing programmes and develop innovative responses to reduce the impact of the epidemic on communities, social services and economic productivity
Kenya has consistently been unable to meet demands of Global Fund in terms of technical content of proposals. Also, Global Fund has stated that it does not have capacity to provide technical assistance on individual proposals. KECOFATUMA, through a National Conference provided technical support and assistance to 400 community groups. Majority of these are small yet effective, less resourced civil society organizations in remote areas.
